Joe Swick's philosophy is to make wine as naked and raw as possible while having them be fun and delicious. He works with organically farmed vineyards in the colder regions of Oregon and Washington State. Wines with acid, freshness and no conventional additives. What ends up in the glass are energetic, vins de soif with a freshness and balanced acidity that reflect their artist, terroir, and space in time -- each year bringing new wines and a new approach. You never know what surprises you might find with Swick.
Description: This is Chardonnay grown on sandy loam soil, in Washington State. Grapes are direct pressed and fermented only with ambient yeasts. Spends a little time in old oak barrels, roughly 8 months actually! Aromas of pineapple skin, with loads of fresh acidity.
