Description: Located in Renaison, in the heart of the Cote Roannaise, Domaine Robert Serol has been a family property since the 18th century. Stephane Serol took over the estate in 1998, following his parents, who had already set high standards for the domaine’s viticulture. The domaine comprises 70 acres of vineyards, almost entirely devoted to growing Gamay, the grape used to make this charming sparkler. This is a pet-nat wine, a wine bottled during the primary fermentation (as opposed to more traditional sparklers, which are bottled during a secondary fermentation induced by the introduction of yeasts); on the palate it finds the perfect balance between sweetness and acidity, and at only 8.5% alcohol is wonderfully refreshing and easy to drink.
