Joe Swick's philosophy is to make wine as naked and raw as possible while having them be fun and delicious. He works with organically farmed vineyards in the colder regions of Oregon and Washington State. Wines with acid, freshness and no conventional additives. What ends up in the glass are energetic, vins de soif with a freshness and balanced acidity that reflect their artist, terroir, and space in time -- each year bringing new wines and a new approach. You never know what surprises you might find with Swick.


Chardonnay grown on sandy loam from Yakima, Washington at 1600 feet elevation. Grapes are direct pressed and fermented with native yeast. Ferments are worked by foot one to two times a day with no temp control then aged in neutral French oak barrels for eight months. A small sulfur addition before bottling is the only addition to this wine. No filtration.


Swick WOO! Red Blend is made of Syrah and Chenin Blanc. Grapes are fermented separately, whole cluster, with 30 days of skin maceration using native yeast.


Inspired by traditional northern red wine made in Portugal, Joe Swick made some in Oregon and we aren’t complaining. Light and delicious, it’s a blend of 90% Verdello and 10% Graciano and is just as tasty chilled as it is at room temp. Perfect for late summer and early fall evenings.
